I have always loved to bake and when my children came along I found even more enjoyment in baking and decorating their birthday cakes. With practice and some training, my technique improved and I started to make cakes for friends and family.  Then, with plenty of encouragement from those early ‘customers’, I decided to start my own business.

In June 2017, Piece of Cake by Clare opened for business and I haven't looked back.  It adds a different dimension turning your hobby into a business but it hasn’t changed my passion for making cakes that people will love.  I started off with children's birthday cakes but now also supply cakes for baby showers, christenings, milestone birthdays and other family events.  I still have plenty of future plans to grow the business too.

I live in Ascot, Berkshire, with my two sons and my husband.  I run Piece of Cake by Clare covering Ascot, Sunninghill, Sunningdale, Bracknell, Windsor and the surrounding areas all around my family, so my availability is sometimes limited.  If you’re looking for a bespoke cake to order for a special celebration in the future, it is better to get in touch sooner rather than later, to avoid disappointment.

Shop bought cakes absolutely serve a purpose but some occasions are so special that they deserve that personal touch that you can’t buy in the shop.  More than likely, you are buying this cake for someone else.  You want to make them feel special and I would take great pleasure in helping you achieve this.
